Primas as Inspiration

For the next card, I got my inspiration from these Prima Flowers I bought from My Cards & Home whilst we were in Gothenburg, Sweden celebrating Christmas with my family. Helena, who owns the store, has been making cards for years and when my sister had her own flower shop she used to sell Helena’s cards. Here you can have a look at Helena’s classy embossed cards.

Back to the Prima flowers; they are gorgeous, aren’t they?! So gorgeous that I couldn’t restrain myself from also buying a third pack with pink flowers. However; there were loads of different colors available, so I think I still did well and didn’t go completely overboard… 🙂

This card I made for my mum, who retired last week after a long and hard working life. Congratulations mum; it’s well deserved!

I thought long and hard about what kind of sentiment text to use, until I came up with the Latin expression “Festina lente” – Make haste slowly. This’d be a good motto for all of us to live by, but I fear for me it’ll have to wait until I retire. Only another 30+ years to go… 😮
