This is it; this is the card I started making last Sunday, but then was bypassed by two other cards… Originally, it was supposed to have been for an 80th birthday, but I reconsidered as I didn’t find the colors were right for the occasion. However; these bright and happy colors are perfect for the many current spring challenges! 🙂 The stamp, “Rose’s Garden” from Sarah Kay is also very fitting, I think, as roses usually bloom in the spring. It might be a bit hard to tell from the picture, but I used my twinkling Copic atyou spica pens to add glitter.
Last time I used these papers by K&C Company was in October for my mum’s birthday card and I’ve really missed them! These papers are stunning, definitely one of my favourite paper collections of all times. The paper flowers are from my stash and I must have bought them a couple of years ago, but I’ve never used them until today… Unfortunately; I cannot remember which brand it is, but one could almost think they belong to the McKenna collection, considering how close they’re in color tone.’The Mulberry roses, on the other hand, have been colored with Copics. The sketch I followed is Friday Sketchers #89 (please see previous post).
