Pringle

Here’s the card I made this weekend for my dad’s birthday. I had hoped that the stamps I ordered from Motivet would have been here by now since I wanted to make him a card with Morris the Moose. However; as Morris is still making his way from Canada to the UK, I had to settle for something else and decided to go with this rabbit stamp from Sugar Nellie instead.  “Pringle” has only been inked up once before, and he is kinda’ cute, so I think he deserves being used again!  I always struggle with male cards (well, who doesn’t ;-)), but my best bet is to go with animals and as you can see in my Gallery, I usually pick brown and blue.

The sketch I used is from Create 4 Fun’s Challenge Blog, and I think it’s perfect for male cards as it’s quite simple and doesn’t leave a lot of room for embellishments and other fussy bits and pieces…

This was the first time I got to use my “Congrats Hugs” Stamp from Swedish Inkido. Their sentiment stamps are stunning (though most of them are in Swedish and Norwegian, they have also produced a few in English).

Unsurprisingly, I did not manage quite as many challenges as I did with my last card, but still a handful:

Cute Card Thursday – Challenge #98 “Spots & Dots”
Lexi’s Creations – Challenge #7 “Spotted or Striped”
