Shopping Trip

Here are some pics of the latest additions to my stash 🙂

Lovely ribbons, punches and embellishments.

No more excuses for not getting started with this year's Christmas cards!

Last Thursday directly after work we left for Germany. Lately we’ve both been working a lot so it was nice with a little break and to get away from it all. Had a very relaxing weekend with family time and lots of sleep  (I haven’t slept this much and this well in months :-D). Of course, as usual, we also did quite a bit of shopping…

On Friday I visited Erren Schreib und Spielwaren, a hobby store in Willich (that’s where I bought the lovely ribbons with pearls) and one scrapbooking store in Kaarst. On Saturday I had been looking forward going to Düsseldorf and a store that sells Copic markers, but since traffic chaos was expected in the city due to demonstrations (of all the days in a year, did they really have to pick the very day I wanted to go shopping in D-dorf? :-x), so we decided to go to nearby Venlo in the Netherlands instead. During the time we lived in Düsseldorf we used to go shopping in Venlo regularly, but this was before I had started with card making, so I wasn’t familiar with any crafting-scrapbooking stores. God Bless the Internet: googled for Venlo + scrapbooking and found two stores that seemed interesting…

Hobbyworld Venlo – This 10.000 m2 large store just outside Venlo city centre unsurprisingly has got loads of stuff. Their selection of designer papers and punches, in particular Martha Stewart punches (I bought two!) is impressive. They also sell Copics, however only the Ciao markers, and not the Sketch which I prefer. This was also the case at Pipoos, a lovely scrapbooking store in the centre of Venlo.
Nevertheless; had a great time shopping crafts material in Germany and Holland: it’s so much fun checking out what’s available in other countries and discover new brands!
