Birthday Showers

I made this card with three challenges in mind; first one being Sophisticat, which had the theme “It’s raining cats & dogs”. I decided to use my “Willow with Umbrella” stamp by Whiff of Joy, so that I could take part in WOJ’s sketch challenge. Thirdly, the colors were chosen to fit in with Color Throwdown‘s color combination:

My intention was to finish the card last weekend, but on Saturday I went to the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show in London. We stayed overnight and on Sunday when we got home, I first had to finish the card my sister had asked me to make, then we had to pay A&E a visit (my husband had an eye infection) and after that we were busy moving furniture between my craft room and my husband’s office room. The little office room has now been transformed into a walk in closet, and I have gained an extra table for my room. 🙂

Anyway, the result was that I missed the dead lines for all three challenges! 😥 Fortunately for Willow, I found some other challenges she could take part in: 😉

Totally Gorjuss – Challenge #26 Charming
Quixotic – Challenge #21 “Heavy Metal”
Secret Crafter
-Challenge #79 “A Day Out”
Ooh La La Creations – #51 “April Showers”
Stamp Something – “Something Layered”
Creative Belli Blog – #89 “Die Cut Shapes”
ABC – “S for Sparkle”
