Today I have finally managed to finish this wedding card I started some ten days ago. 😀 Unusually for me, I did not follow a sketch; instead the card was built around the papers and the embellishments. My starting point was the beautiful colored Burgundy Roses I ordered some weeks ago from Wild Orchid Crafts. The color is simply amazing and goes very well with the backing paper White Christmas” Vintage Christmas Rose by Magnolia. All the other flowers are also from WOC and were colored with the same Copic marker I used for the dress; I really like the effect (see close up pictures further down).
Then last weekend, when at Panduro in Copenhagen I found the Design Paper with the burgundy colored Orchid and the velvet ribbon and I just knew I had to incorporate them somehow into the card. Likewise with the stamped ribbon image from Magnolia that I bought one day later in Sweden; I think it’s just perfect for wedding cards. The main image with the two squirrels, Dexter and Doraline, is of course from Motivet; I think it’s sooo cute and I’ll use it for another wedding card that I’m fortunate enough to be making in the next couple of weeks. I truly enjoy making wedding cards; firstly because they are such happy and special occasions and secondly because I don’t get to make so many.
