Ambivalence with Aurora
A couple of weeks ago I made a card using one of my Aurora stamps. She’s sooooo adorable and since I had some unused Aurora stamps, I decided to ink one of them up and use it for a female birthday card. At first I wanted to make a card in pale lilac, but -as always- I realized I don’t have any matching lilac-purple papers (no idea why it’s so hard for me to find pretty papers in these colors???), so then I turned to pink instead.
However, pink didn’t feel right either, so I tried mixing up a some pink and lilac papers, but wasn’t happy with that. Tried green & pink, a color combo I usually like a lot, but that didn’t feel right either. Lilac and green also no good…. 😥 Frantically I was going through my stacks of papers, until I finally found a sheet, which I believe is from Basic Grey’s Eva collection. It had pink and burgundy. Somehow I still couldn’t let go of my initial thought of a lilac card though, so pink-burdundy-lilac became my color combo and here’s the card:
As always I used my Copics to color the image and this time I used close to a a third of my markers: 😀
