Aloha! I’m back from my vacation. Well, actually have been for three weeks now, but although I’ve been dying to make some cards, I haven’t gotten around to it until today. I haven’t stayed away completely from crafting throughout this whole time though; in the States, I of course took the opportunity to visit a couple of craft stores and to add some bits and bobs to my stash… 😀 Unfortunately; I forgot to take a pic of my new treasures when I came back, but hopefully I’ll soon get to use some of the new ribbons, lace and embellishments.
My New Year’s Resolution will have to be to start even earlier next year… 😕 Anyway; it’s great being back crafting and bloghopping; saw some stunning cards in blogland today, and got heaps of inspiration for my coming Christmas cards. This cosy picture from the Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge Blog was the main inspiration for today’s card:
The sketch is from Friday Sketchers. The sponsor of this week’s challenge is one of my absolute favorite stamping brands, Motivet. Thus, it was with great sadness that I today read that Stephanie, Motivet’s owner has taken the decision to close the Inspiration blog as she will need to focus more on her family and Tradeshows. On a brighter note, their webshop will still be open as usual.
With this card I’ve now used all the stamps I bought from this year’s LOTV Christmas collection. I’m extremely tempted to buy some WOJ Henry Christmas stamps…but I just remember I have some unused Magnolia stamps, which I really should ink up first…
