Happy Belated Birthday x 2

Today was another dull, grey and rainy day. It’s been raining for three days in a row now…it’s almost as if the epithet “Sunny California” is a myth… 🙂  Anyway; when I had finished work for the day and stepped out of the office, the sun was breaking through the clouds, so I hurried back home and took pictures of the cards I made during the weekend.

I’m sooooo excited to be able to share with you my first DT card for In2Stamps.  About a week before I left England, I was contacted by Wendy and Bruno, the owners of this small Belgian rubber stamp company, asking if I would like to join their Design Team. Didn’t have to think twice about it; they have the most adorable stamps. If you’re not familiar with them, I urge you to hop over to the In2Stamps Store and browse through the stamp collections ASAP!  For lots of wonderful inspiration, please visit the In2Stamps Inspiration Blog.

This stamp is called “Fairy Lily Ballerina” and is one out of  three new fairy stamps from last month’s release.  The other two are just as adorable, so when I got my DT kit last week, I had great difficulty in deciding which one I should ink up first. Finally, as I was making a birthday card for a friend who used to dance ballet, I decided to use this image for my card.

I kept the layout rather simple as it’s a large stamp and I wanted to show off as much as possible of the matching design paper, which by they way is new.  😳  Found it on Saturday when I was craft shopping and I just had to have it, as I thought it’d go perfectly with this image.

As always though, I couldn’t keep my fingers away from the bellies, so I added a bit of lace and quite some flowers and pearls. The die cuts are new as well (how did they end up in my shopping basket on Saturday? 🙄
