Apples & Chocolate

Some weeks ago for my husband’s birthday we drove down to Monterey; had a great day at the aquarium, and afterwards when walking around in town we stumbled upon a small chocolaterie where they had these chocolate covered apples on display. Needless to say, the temptation proved too big… ;-) In the past I’ve only had these with red apples, but this one was green. It was delicious and became my inspiration for this card.

This is a gate fold card I’ve made for a friend’s birthday. On the front I used “Britt and her Teddy”, together with the sentiment that comes with the stamp. I distressed the edges and also stamped some swirls with a stamp from Stempelglede. The chocolate colored ribbon is recycled; it came with a Cappucino mug I had to buy whilst waiting for our stuff to arrive here (plastic just isn’t very good for hot drinks, is it?). The inside I kept rather clean and simple; used yet another stamp from my In2Stamps DT kit; “Britt’s Birthday”. Love her cheeky smile!

  6. You have such gorgeous cards. We use to have an apple store near us, but they closed. NOW, I really miss them.

Also, I have a question, Is the Cryogen White actually a bright white or more like Cream, Vanilla, or Ivory in color? I just ordered it and it is definitely not a white paper. I’m wondering if I received the wrong item.

    Thanks for your help,
    Sheila
