Purple for a Change

Hi there,

Purple is a color I don’t tend to use very often. Not because I don’t like it, I definitely do, but I’ve always had difficulties finding purple/lilac DPs. That all changed though when I saw the beautiful papers from Maja Design’s  “Ska vi ta en fika?” collection at the stamp exhibition last weekend… This card is a female birthday card and I might not have used the most suitable stamp (mostly brought Christmas stamps back in my suitcase), but I couldn’t resist taking part in the current Whiff of Joy challenge as they have a great sketch with lots of layers, which I love (see pic further down).

Challenges
Whiff of Joy – #113 Sketch
Deep Ocean – #8 Lace
Elisabeth Bell’s World – Bingo (Ribbon, Lace, Flowers)
Anything Goes – #49 Vintage/Shabby Chic
The Pink Elephant – #116 Vintage
Die Cut Dreams – #98 Flower Power
Ladybug Crafts – #37 Flowers
Crafting for All Seasons – #9 Birthday
My Mum’s Craft Shop – #23 Happy Birthday

Since the last card I made was a male one and male cards for me means being a bit restrictive with the embellishments, I so to speak let the beast out on this one. ;-)

Thanks for stopping by,

I love this card. I don’t think I’ve ever used brown with purple, but it looks fantastic. Thanks for the inspiration. Very beautiful card. I love how you put everything together. Fab work.
