Saturday again and time for a new challenge over @the Sketchy Challenges.
This time our hostess is Chantal, who has designed this great sketch:
…and this is my card:
This time we are sponsored by Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps: each one of the DT members got to choose one of her adorable images to play with. I chose Heidi with a Christmas card in mind, but then felt like making a Fall card instead. Anywho; I think this image works well both for Autumn and Christmas. Love her warm & fuzzy boots!
As you can see on the tag and the hinges, I had fun playing with my Distress Inks. This is the first time though that I’ve gotten this messy with them; I used water and a heating tool to mix the inks with one another. I really like the old stained effect; this is a mix of “Peeled Paint”, “Dusty Concord” , and “Seedless Preserves”. Unusually for me, I’ve used brads again (2nd card in a row). I don’t know exactly what I was thinking when I bought those green brads 😳 …it must be at least 2 years ago, and I’ve never used them before (no surprise there), but I think they go well with these rich Autumn colours. Then I realized I have these green hidious pins (ok, so now I said it out loud :-)), which are almost an exact colour match to the brads, so they of course had to go on the card. 😛
Thanks for stopping by – have a great weekend!
