LLC Advent Calendar Window #8

Saturday again and time for Window No. 8 in the LLC Advent Calendar. Today’s candy is one of my favorite products from Ranger’s Idea-ology range, namely the film strip ribbon.
I haven’t made a shaker box card in ages, so that’s what I decided to go with.
Yup it’s another image by Ching-Chou Kuik, from Sweet Pea Stamps!  This one’s called “Winter Watcher”, though it should really be called Winter WatcherS as both the kitty and the girl are watching the winter outside the window… ;-)
I think it’s so much fun making shaker box cards, but I usually have difficulties with the edges where I’ve cut out the hole for the box, but not so much this time as I framed the whole box. For the sides I used Prima Wooden Doors No.8; the color was spot on as I wanted a “frosty” feel to my card. On top I attached a piece of Maya Road’s Organza Roses Trim and on the bottom a piece of the Oyster Cream Rhinestones Lace. The material inside the box are silver micro pearls (had those for ages) and Beadazzles. I also used some Silver Liquid Pearls on the sky parts of the image.
The paper (not that you can see much of it, LOL) is from the Nativity Scene from Pion Design’s Silent Night 6×6 Collection. I used the snowflake border from the Borders sheet underneath the film strip ribbon and the letters are from the Letters sheet, also by Pion Design but from the “Grandma’s School Book Collection“. BTW;  “Jul” is Swedish for “Christmas”.
Thanks for stopping by – would love to see you join in with the LLC Advent Calendar; it runs until Dec, 24th!

  3. Hi Sandra, I’m soooooo sorry for not visiting your blog more often. I do peek in every now and then, but I don’t always leave comment (sorry about that!). Shame on me! *blush* I’m also checking your cards on your FB page and on your store blog. So I am still around. Will be a good girl and try to leave comments on here more often.

Oh yes, I absolutely LOVE that angel Tilda image I won as a part of your wonderful candy. It’s one of my favourite stamps. Just sooooo cute! :) And I also still have the card that came with the candy. It’s just gorgeous (as are all your cards). <3

And this one is no different, this one is also amazing. I absolutely love how you put everything together. Would you believe I've never made a shaker card yet? I have to give it a try one day.

    Have a wonderful day!
    Hugs! xx
