A while ago I was fortunate enough to get picked as a Winner of a challenge over at the Sugar Creek Hollow Blog, and I was so stunned when receiving an e-mail from Cec, inviting me to guest design. Thank you so much Cec and the rest of the SCH Ladies for having me; it’s a great honour, and I had a lot of fun making my card.
The theme for this week’s Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge is “Feathers & Furs”, and this is what I’ve made:
I didn’t have a suitable image for the theme, but dear Tina helped me out (thanks Tina!), and as soon as I saw this image, I knew I wanted to use it, so I went with feathers!
Thought, I’d try something new…I very much enjoyed making the card, but it was somewhat difficult to get good pics of it as it’s rather loooooong. 🙂
All the papers are from Pion Design’s Studio of Memories collection, except for the frame around the image, which is Maja Design’s 1899. Yup; I finally dared to feed the Cameo some Maja papers again…and she didn’t protest too much this time… 😆
Oh, and the wings (it’s a Magnolia Doohickey die) were also cut from 1899.
I wanted a shabby look, so I’ve used snow-tex all over the card…
Isn’t the bird’s nest charm a beauty?!!! Of course, the shabby seam binding had to be included on this shabby card, the colour I’ve used here is “Storm Clouds”
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now please pop over to the Sugar Creek Hollow blog and check out the DT’s beautiful creations!
