We’ve got a new sketch over @the Sketchy Challenges and hostess this time around is the lovely Jane:
Over @ LLC this week’s theme has been to create something with this inspiration photo in mind:
The photo is from Ljuva Hem in Nödinge, outside of Gothenburg, Sweden.
It’s a very inspirational home interior and gifts store, well worth a visit should you be nearby. Then you could pop in and say hello to my sis, who works there. 🙂 Please feel free to also check out their Facebook page or visit their Blog or Instagram page.
Thanks to Susanne and Emilia for letting us borrow this gorgeous photo and now here’s my card:
Yesterday I spent some time learning how to create shaped cards, using the mirror and weld functionalities for the Cameo. It’s actually very easy once one knows how to do it! 🙂 Here’s the link to a Video tutorial I found.
Although I was the one who chose the photo, I had not thought about what papers to use beforehand, but I did find -in my opinion- the perfect paper to match the wallpaper in the picture; “1910” from Maja Design’s Vintage Summer Basics Collection. Then I just combined it with a few more sheets from the lovely Vintage Summer Basics Collection. I can’t wait for the Spring collection, hopefully it will get here by the end of next week!
This is a brand new image called “Cherish” by Hannah Lynn for Crafts & Me. I saw Tracy using it some weeks ago and I just had to have it…and before I knew it one stamp soon turned into 4 as there are so many pretty Hannah Lynn images in the new release! This is the first time I’ve coloured a horse, and I’m not too happy about the result, but this is as good as it gets for now. Here are the Copic markers I used:
Hair: E41, E42, E43, E44, E47
Horse & Mane: E70, E71, E74, E77 / E31, E35, E37, E39, E57, E55
The sentiment stamps are both from Whimsy Stamps, they have the most beautiful sentiments, me thinks!!!
