The Sketchy Challenges #47 White Peacock Dryad

Hiya, a new sketch challenge went live over @the Sketchy Challenges Blog yesterday and this time I’m hosting the challenge. Here’s my sketch:
I’m also sponsoring with LLC and there’s a £10 Store Voucher up for grabs.

It’s a bit embarrassing that I didn’t have my card ready yesterday, but I just came back from a 3-day long visit to Sweden this afternoon. I had actually brought stuff so that I could make my card there; the image I coloured in whilst there, but I forgot the card base that I had made at home before leaving. 😥

Luckily the sweet Louise (thanks lovely!) could swop days with me, so she posted to the LLC Blog yesterday and I could do it today instead. Our theme this week has been “Animal Antics”, and I chose to work with this gorgeous image called  “White Peacock Dryad” from Sweet Pea Stamps, by one of my favourite fantasy image designers, Ching Chou Kui:
The papers are from Maja Design’s Vintage Spring Basics Collection. The flower patterned paper (6th of April) I think goes particularly well with this image.
I frantaged some of the flowers, the frame around the image, as well as the Doily with “Aged Rose” and used “Shabby Blue” for the peacock charm and the mini bark heart. The antique blue Kort & Godt rolled roses I dipped in Glossy and Diamond Dust.

I used  “Baby Blue” Liquid Pearls for the peacock feathers and for some of the pearls on the image. The seam binding is “Ash Rose and “Storm Clouds”. The paper edges were distressed with “Victorian Velvet”.

Thanks for stopping by – would love to see your entry for this challenge!
Please pop over and check out the other Sketchy Girls‘ gorgeous cards and meet our three new DT-Members; Kirsty-Anne, Annette and Sabine!
