It’s time for a new sketch challenge over at the Sketchy Challenges and hostess this time is Cordine and here’s the sketch to play with:And this is what I came up with:Pion Design’s “Red Clover” from “Grandma’s School Book“; was a perfect fit to the colours of the image! Finally got around to use my new butterfly border die from Joy (thanks Lotta!).Here’s a close up of one of the newly arrived vintage laces; this is “Empress Alexandra“, isn’t she a beauty?!!! The ornate frame around the image is a Spellbinder die I bought recently; love it!The flowers and the upper part of the card I sprayed with Tattered Angel’s Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist, it gives such a gorgeous effect.
I used the scroll vintage frame; dabbed some gesso on it and applied liquid pearls (Bisque) in the holes For the frame I cut a piece of the DP, added the distressed mini die cut letters (they’re so cute and perfect for these types of small frames! ), and then I covered it with glossy accents. The letters spells out “Oma”, granny in German and this is a Birthday card for hubby’s granny, who’s turning 90 soon. I attached some “Vanilla Cream” seam binding, a piece of lace and a small piece of pearl string to the frame.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you can join the Sketchy Girls!
