Beginning of last week, after several month’s neglect, I stopped by my personal blog to post a project I had created the weekend before. Ooops; my last post was from January, 3rd…: 😳 I know I haven’t done much crafting the last months, but had it really been that long? No, thankfully it hadn’t. I realized that I had forgotten to post a card I made back in March when I was filling in for a DT Member. 🙂
So I thought I’d start by posting the card, but ran into the problem that I couldn’t post anything to the blog. Supposedly because I was running an ancient version of WordPress, so I asked hubby to upgrade the blog this past weekend and now fortunately it works again. 🙂 Seems the new theme isn’t fully compatible with my old LO, so some cosmetic changes are yet to be made. If I ask nicely my OH, he should hopefully comply. 😛
The theme the LLC DT was following this particular week in March was “shabby chic”, and this is what I came up with:Instead of an image, I used the gorgeous resin piece “Old Church Window” from Prima.
Also the corners are from the same set.
The beautiful shabby backingpaper is Maja’s 1905 from the Vintage Summer Basics collection, and the layers around the window are from Sofiero and the VSB 2 (i.e. Spring).
I frantaged a wooden Maya Road butterfly and to the center I added a capped teardrop. The Studio Calico hearts were painted with crackle paint. The white shabby blossom sprays, were dabbed with “Victorian Velvet” DI. Toned down the roses and the frosted berries with some gesso.
Thanks for looking.
