Shabby & Elegant Christmas Card

Hiya; for this week I set the theme “Scandinavian Christmas” for the DT, and it’s been a delight to see what Tracy, Tina, Becky, and Alyce came up with so far.

When I think of Christmas Scandinavian style the first thing that comes to mind is traditional red, so I’ve used the gorgeous “Given from the Heart” sheet from Maja Design’s 2014 Christmas  collection.

Also has a play with the new die set by Spellbinder’s “Royal Circle”, which is so  pretty, but somewhat difficult to get off the die without damaging the intricate cut.

Another thing I associate with Scandinavian Christmas is of course snow (well at least if you’re from the North, as I am. Then every year is a white Christmas. :-)). Therefore I’ve used lots of snow-tex. Of course could also not keep my hand away from the new blingy products, and here I’ve used the white pearl heart.

Finally; most Scandinavians are outdoor people who love to spend time out in the nature. This is symbolized by the natural elements; the cinnamon sticks (covered with Glamour Dust), the cones, and the jute twine.

Thanks for visiting,
